Amino acids

Amino acids are the building blocks of peptides and proteins, and each amino acid performs a specific function. Some amino acids act as an antioxidant, but most help your skin to reproduce its own antioxidants.

Although all amino acids help maintain a smooth, healthy and younger looking skin, some also have more specialized roles:

Arginine repairs visible skin damage. Histidine has antioxidant properties and can soothe the skin. Lysine enhances the support elements in the skin which in turn increases firmness. Proline, Leucine and Glycine reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
