Thioctic Acid

Thioctic acid is the technical name for the antioxidant; alpha lipoic acid (ALA). Unlike many antioxidants that are either water soluble or oil soluble, alpha lipoic acid is both. Alpha lipoic acid reduces the synthesis of melanin, reduces hyperpigmentation and evens skin tone. In addition, it is a potent antioxidant and it repairs DNA damage caused by free radicals.
