Linolenic Acid
Linolenic acid is a naturally colorless polyunsaturated fatty acid, also known as alpha-linolenic acid. An omega-3 fatty acid found in flaxseed, canola, soy and certain fish oils.
In skin care, alpha-linolenic acid is used to treat hyperpigmentation and reduce inflammation. Alpha-linolenic acid is known to inhibit melanin production and reduce hyperpigmentation as well as softening and repairing the skin.
Research shows that it also has anti-inflammatory properties, and studies show that it can even out skin tone.
