Citronellol
A volatile fragrance chemical extracted from geranium, rose and other plants. Citronellol has a characteristic grass and citrus-like scent. It occurs naturally in the essential oils we use.
The regulations for labeling cosmetics state that all of the 26 potential fragrance allergens must be labeled on product ingredients, regardless of whether it is part of an essential oil or added in isolation as a fragrance ingredient.
In isolated form, the ingredient may cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. We do not use the isolated fragrance ingredient, and therefore you will find it at the bottom of the product's ingredient list.
