Alcohol Denat
Alcohol denat or denatured alcohol is one of the most common skin care ingredients, but its name can cause some concern. This is mainly because alcohol is considered to be a dehydrating ingredient. But not all alcohols are the same. Alcohol denate is used in cosmetics to browse. to preserve and keep bacteria away and to increase the penetration of the product into the skin.
The most important alcohols used in skin care are ethanol, ethyl alcohol, SD alcohol or alcohol denat. Much of the controversy surrounding these ingredients has to do with rumors that they accelerate aging, damage the skin's natural barrier and cause inflammation in the skin. These four types of alcohol are all essentially the same ingredient, alcohol denat.
It is worth noting that the dehydration effect on the skin occurs when using products that contain a high concentration of alcohol such as old-fashioned oily skin.
